IMPORTANT: Atlantic City has a statute that covers all Toy Guns that are a reasonably copy of a any real gun. You cannot sell or POSSESS one in the city limits and they will be confiscated and you may also receive a potential fine. For more info click here:AC Toy Gun Law
1- Contestants may enter in any category for which they qualify.
2- Costumes must be self-contained.
3- Each contestant may only enter one costume into the competition.
4- No skits during judging or catwalk.
5- Large intricate costumes must be handled by the contestant and/or assistants the contestant brings to help. The GSCF will not be able to provide assistants.
Violation of any of the following rules will result in your disqualification from the competition and may result in your ejection from the area or building.
6- No nudity.
7- No profanity allowed on stage verbal or written on signs or clothes.
8- No political, religious, racist, sexist or otherwise offensive statement during the competition.
9- Do not use any sort of projectile at all! Nothing must leave your person while you are performing.
10- No real weapons, explosives, or similar special effects are permitted. Violation may result in your possible arrest.
11- All prop weapons must conform to The Garden State Comic Fest Weapons Policy, which is as follows:

- Weapons must be non-working and peace bonded.
- No functioning projectile weapons - including water pistols, silly-string guns, and ping-pong pistols.
- Bladed weapons must be cased or sheathed at ALL times. Any weapon used in an offensive manner will be confiscated.
12- Use good judgment; if you have to think twice about an action, then it’s probably not a good idea.
