Peter Scanlan

After graduating from The School of Visual Arts in 1986 Peter Scanlan began an illustration career that focused on Science Fiction and Fantasy book covers. He created work for clients like Universal Studios, The New York Times, Warner Bothers, Hasbro, HBO, The Village Voice, and many others. Some career hi-lights have included painting the album cover for Slick Rick’s first single, Teenage Love, producing over fifty paintings for Marvel Comics as one of four 1995 Marvel Masterpiece artists, and painting the Psycho Circus album cover art for KISS in 1998. After spending some time working as an art director, animator and motion graphic artist for broadcast, Peter Scanlan starting teaching art at his high school alma mater, Northern Valley Regional High School in Demarest, NJ. More recently he has been spending his time working on a variety of Illustration and graphic novel projects, including work for Wizards of the Coast.
